After the successes achieved from The Sustainable Flight Challenge (TSFC) – Chuyến bay bền vững lần thứ 1 in 2022, Liên minh Hàng không SkyTeam has decided to annually organize TSFC, with the second organization in 2023. The sustainable flight challenge was launched by the SkyTeam airline alliance with flight number VN37 departing from Hanoi to Frankfurt (Germany) on May 26.

On the flight, Vietnam Airlines implemented environmental protection activities including: giving passengers recycled bags from old life jackets, serving meals from sustainable foods and calling on passengers to bring personal belongings instead. for using disposable items on the flight. Vietnam Airlines specifically designs meals according to a sustainable, nutritionally balanced diet on flights. These meals use JANBEE Soybean Oil combined with fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, plant-based alternative protein sources, and products made in Vietnam from sustainably farmed soybeans. through cooperation with the United States Soybean Export Council (USSEC). The meal is also designed with many Vietnamese dishes to introduce tourists and international friends to delicious, flavorful Vietnamese cuisine such as: panna cotta with coconut milk & Vong village green rice nuggets, spring rolls. from soybeans with avocado sauce & mango salsa, Vietnamese bread with grilled soy spring rolls & sweet and sour pickled vegetables…
